Cameroon legend, Samuel Eto’o, has identified Uganda national team as the most improved team at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt.
The former Barcelona and Chelsea striker explained that the Cranes have really improved, adding that he likes the way they work together as a team.
The 38-year-old stated this ahead of Uganda’s AFCON round of 16 tie against Senegal on Friday night. Uganda finished in the second position in Group A with five points behind the host nation, Egypt.
“The Ugandan team has really improved and I like the way they work together as a team,” Eto’o told URN. “In football the goals matter a lot and now they are going to the knockout stage where goals will surely count.
Eto’o is among the seven legends selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as ambassadors for the 2019 AFCON.
