Poem: My Worst Nightmare by Oluwakayode Tolu

I feel so down, looking about with a frown

I’m always blue cos it’s looking so real

I try to take it off but still it’s coming on

Like a television showing my wildest nightmares

It feels so real and I can’t get it to stop

I’m always I’ll cos it’s getting to me like fire

I can’t stop thinking and I can’t stop seeing

I’m so scared, I want it to stop right now

I’m screaming my heart’s out

I can’t just get the picture out of my head

But still I’m waiting for that day to break through

And till that day I will keep on going

To find my way and to be free

From my haunting’s hand.
